Competition Winner

The first prize of £1000 for the winner of the Riptide international short story prize  went to Sheena Wilkinson for her story ‘What you Will’.  Judge Philip Hensher awarded the prize at the launch party on November 2nd where Sheena read an extract from her story.  The second prize went to Amy Shuckburgh for ‘The Lifeguard’ and third prize to Dominique Jackson for ‘Just for Tourists’.  The readers’ prize, chosen by a team of young people aged 13 to 19, went to ‘Ward 51: Wings’ by Kristen Bailey.
